Grey weather
The weather here has been incredibly gloomy. Lack of sleep ("good puppy") and lack of sunlight is starting to catch up with us. It has been bizarre weather lately because it is overcast but it stays light outside until 9:30-10:00pm.
To fight the weather we're trying to get outside in the fresh air but .... I'm starting to miss the colour green! Especially when I hear that everyone is planting back home. We're starting to see a little bit of green lichen and moss on the Tundra but the snow is getting soft and it is a bit treacherous because you don't know if you are going to go up to your knees. In contrast, my students are loving this weather. They have ski-doos and are getting out on the land just before the river starts to thaw. They are bringing back a lot of Canadian geese. It is crazy how crazy they are over goose meat!
I'll get Markus to post next time. He's been the hardest hit by Hudson's cries so I'm letting him have a nap. Funny enough, Hudson is sleeping with him;) (My family won't be surprised to hear that I can still sleep through just about anything!)
Tootles,
Colleen

Hey you guys,
thanks Colleen for posting and keeping us updated. I wasn't on the computer for a few days, and surprise, there are three new posts, including those cute pictures.I also love the name Hudson. Who came up with it?
We had a record high yesterday of 29c, and everything is so dry, fires are burning already. The trees are just starting to get green. We enjoy the outside so much right now, and yes, we are getting ready for planting. Hope your snow will be gone soon and you have some kind of spring.
Otherwise Bernie was here for a short visit, he is back in Brandon starting his work. I can't believe there are only a few more weeks of school left and another school year is done.
For now I hope you have lots of fun with your puppy. Let us know in what kind of mischief he is getting into.
Talk to you soon

Dear Markus and Colleen,
what a great puppy you have there.
It is so cute and I love the name.
Today Shanda came over and we took care of Nala and Kira and pretended that we adopted Nala and Kira.
Have lots of fun with your Puppy

Hey Colleen and Markus,
your puppy is a bit looking like our LULU in Germany! :)
How are you? Still freezing?
In Germany it`s pretty warm.
About 25-26°C.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Tina
